The Plastic Posse Podcast is a bi-weekly podcast about Scale Modeling. This includes all genres, scales, and ability levels. From Warhammer 40K to Gundam to Aircraft to Armor and even Science Fiction, our show features in depth interviews with the best guests, as well as discussions that take a deeper look into the hobby and our motivation for it. Our motto is "There is NO wrong way to enjoy Scale Modeling!" Hosted by TJ Haller, Doug Smith, Jensen Taylor, John Bonnani, Grant Mayberry, and Scott Gentry, the Posse is all about the Social and Community Aspects of this hobby! The Posse is back as we prepare for the 2023 48 in 48 Birthday Bash event to benefit Models 4 Heroes, a charity that we partner with and are passionate about. This event runs Mar 10 - 12 worldwide, and we will be a part of all of the fun! To get ready, we interview the One and Only Malcolm Childs, founder of Models 4 Heroes, and Stephan and Meranda Mertens of Scale Models for Veterans, a partner organization in the Netherlands!
We also spend time with one of our Posse Outriders, Zach Pease! We get his perspective on his own modeling and the hobby!
We also discuss whether physical copies of books are still the preferred way for us to get modeling references and inspiration, or if digital is the way of the world. Scott also asks his co-hosts the question, "If you could change or improve just 1 thing about your modeling, what would it be?"
